About

green mirror

is a website analyzing and investigating the environmental and social impact of digital technology.

With the deployment of digital technologies at the heart of our societies' economies, as well as actively encouraged by policymakers, it is more essential than ever to monitor, assess and understand their effects on people, our organizations and ecosystems.

Behind the screen, how do these technologies impact our societies, individuals in all their diversity, as well as the Earth and its biosphere?

On the other side of the mirror, what would constitute a desirable digital world?

Alex

As a legal expert and political scientist by training, I have been involved in the climate movement and digital rights advocacy since 2016.

In the European Parliament between 2019 and 2024, I worked with the greens to ensure that European regulations support fair and sustainable digital technologies (Ecodesign Regulation, Chips Act, AI Act, DSA, DMA, etc).

I stand at the intersection of the field and public policy. Notebook and microphone in hand, I set out to explore the concrete impacts of digital technology and decipher the ins and outs of European digital policy.
